The Laws of San Andreas

This is a complete list of all laws that must be followed by every individual who is a citizen of San Andreas.

All times are in seconds. All fines are in US Dollars.

These laws are based on several British and American laws, some laws are also not full laws but parts of certain laws etc.

Criminal Charges / Felonies / Serious Crimes
These will always result in a jail sentence.



Assault - When no serious harm has been done, but still physical contact was made.
200 - 300 Jail Time.

Aggravated Assault/Grievous bodily harm (GBH) - When serious harm has been done.
300 - 400 Jail Time.

Assault with a dangerous weapon - When a non firearm has been used to attack someone.
350 - 450 Jail Time.

Armed Assault - Assault with a weapon. Or an attack with a weapon brandished.
400 - 500 Jail time.

Assault on a Police Officer - When an individual intentionally attacks a Police Officer.
250 - 350 Jail time.

Armed Assault on a Police Officer - When an individual intentionally attacks a Police Officer, armed.
350 - 400 Jail time.

Aiding and Abetting - The defendant intended to help the criminals carry out the crime/escape etc.
400 - 450 Jail time.

Attempted robbery - When someone attempts to take personal belongings from another with force.
400 - 500 Jail time.

Robbery - When someone successfully takes belongings from another with force.
400 - 500 Jail time.

Bribery - When someone offers something of value to a Police Officer to be cleared of all charges, un-legally.
150 - 200 Jail time.

Car theft - Someone taking a parked car that does not belong to them.
200 - 250 Jail time.

GTA - Someone pulling a driver from his vehicle and taking the car.
300 - 400 Jail time.

Attempted GTA - Someone attempting to pull a driver from his vehicle and taking the car.
240 - 300 Jail time.

Carrying a dangerous weapon - A weapon such as a knife, baseball bat etc.
200 - 250 Jail time.

Brandishing a firearm in public - An individual with a firearm in their hand.
250 - 300 Jail time.

Firing a weapon in public - Aimlessly firing a weapon in public.
500 Jail time.

Aiming and/or firing a weapon at another person - Firing and/or aiming a weapon at another human being.
500 Jail time.

Conspiracy - An agreement existing between two or more people to commit a crime.
400 - 500 Jail time.

Murder - An individual with the specific intent to kill another person(s).
450 - 500 Jail time.

Attempted murder - Attempting to kill someone.
350 - 400 Jail time.

Manslaughter - An individual with the specific intent to harm but not kill another person(s) witch results in death.
450 - 500 Jail time.

Obstruction of justice - Getting in the way of/trying to stop a Police Officer taking action.
350 - 400 Jail time.

Evading Police - When a suspect takes off from Police in a vehicle.
400 - 500 Jail time.

Fleeing from Police - When a suspect takes off from Police on foot.
450 - 500 Jail time.

Failing to stop when signaled to by Police - When someone is repeatedly told to stop and fails to do so.
400 - 450 Jail time.

Firearms trafficking - When someone is talking in depth about selling illegal firearms/actually making the transaction of an illegal firearm for money.
300 - 350 Jail time.

Drugs trafficking - When someone is talking in depth about selling drugs/actually making the transaction of drugs for money.300 - 350 Jail time.

Possession of illegal drugs - Having in your possession 100g or more drugs.
250 - 300 Jail time.

Possession of illegal materials - Having in your possession 500 or more materials.
250 - 300 Jail time.

Breach of the peace - An act with intentions to annoy and erupt trouble with others.
200 - 300 Jail time.

Failure to pay a fine - When you fail to pay a fine, whether it be refusing to or you do not have enough money.
150 - 200 Jail time.

Hit and Run - Colliding with a person, their personal property (including their motor vehicle), or a fixture, and failing to stop.
200 - 250 Jail time.

Vigilantism - Taking the law into your own hands as a member of the public.
250 - 300 Jail time.

(DUI) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol - Drunk driving.
100 - 150 Jail time.

Forgery - Using a fake license, passport etc.
150 - 200 Jail time.

Threatening another person - Making threatening remarks towards someone.
50 - 100 Jail time.

Illegal taxing - Demanding money from people to enter a specific area/building that you do not own.
250 - 300 Jail time.

Offences / Misdemeanors / Less Serious Crimes
These can result in a jail sentence, at your own discretion.



Verbal Assault - When someone is becoming very abusive verbally towards another person.
2000 - 2500 Fine.

Wasting Police Time - When someone calls the emergency line requests Police assistence with no actual emergency. Generally wasting Police time.
3000 - 3500 Fine.

Reckless driving - Colliding with vehicles/objects on a vast scale.
7000 - 9000 Fine.

Driving into on coming traffic/wrong side of the road - Driving on the opposite side of the road.
5000 - 6000 Fine.

Possession of illegal drugs - Having in your possession any amount below 100 drugs.
Confiscation of the drugs 4000 Fine.


Possession of illegal materials - Having in your possession any amount below 500 materials.
Confiscation of the materials 4000 Fine.

Indecent exposure - Displaying your body inappropriately in public.
6000 Fine.

loitering - Large group of individuals hanging around in public together.
5000 Fine each.

Endangering road users - Walking on the road, lying on the road, parking a vehicle incorrectly etc.
6000 - 10,000 Fine.

Purchasing illegal drugs/firearms - Trading money for illegal drugs/weapons.
7000 - 7500 Fine.

Illegal gambling - Betting money on games.
2000 - 4000 Fine.

Minor Offences / Infractions / Minor Traffic Offences
These will always result in a fine.



Possession of nitrous oxide in your vehicle - Possession of Nitrous Oxide in the vehicle you were seen driving/in the driver seat with intentions to use it.
6000 - 7000 Fine.

Use of nitrous oxide - Using nitrous oxide.
9000 - 10,000 Fine.

Driving with reckless intentions - Deliberately colliding with vehicles/objects.
4000 - 5500 Fine.

Speeding - Clearly speeding.
5000 Fine.

Excessive Speeding - Excessively speeding.
10,000 Fine.

Driving without a license - Operating a road vehicle without a license.
10,000 Fine.

Miss-use of a road vehicle - Using a road vehicle irresponsibly, driving on the pavement etc.
Possible license suspension 7000 Fine.

Using a non-road vehicle on the road - Using things such as a BMX, combine harvester etc on the road.
4000 - 6000 Fine.

Trespassing - Entering private land without consent from the owner(s).
1500 - 2000 Fine.
